A true child of the sixties, 17-year-old
guitarist Alley has no problem speaking up and speaking out. She
picked up a guitar at the sweet 'n' tender age of 9, and after a few
years of lessons, has been teaching herself. Raised in the high
desert, she has been fed a steady diet of classic rock since Day
One. After her first taste of performing in her church's youth band,
she has been hooked ever since. Alley's influences range widely
across genres, including classic rock (George Harrison, Brian Jones,
Brian May, Jack White, Pete Townsend, Joe Walsh, Lita Ford and Jimmy
Page), Christian rock (Skillet, Switchfoot, Relient K) and punk
(Dead Kennedys, Avengers, Blondie [yes, Blondie is punk.]). Her
latest favorite is Ryan Wallengren of Billy Boy on Poison. Alley
home-schools to accommodate her busy lifestyle. Her song
compositions draw from literary influences, happy topics and minor
keys.
