Excellent job with tone, mood, setting, characterization… everything.

(Martie is) a likable, strong heroine and I would love to read her story.

I liked the ease with which the writers voice and style come out in this story. All of the characters seem to exist in reality.

Your choice of paranormality (if thats a word) is very well worked out and thoroughly researched.

The hero and heroine were lifelike.

This manuscript was near to perfect.

Well crafted, an easy read with nothing to jar me out of the story. Excellent imagery!

Excellent craftsmanship made this an enjoyable read.

Overall good treatment of dialogue, allowing reader to emotionally connect to heroine and her situation.

Theres definitely a distinctive voice to this story. Its a bit ethereal, but thoughtful and suited to the subject.

"Your voice is appropriate for the historical period and your style is polished. This is very well done and I look forward to seeing it in a bookstore soon."

"The opening is very well written, and very intriguing."

"The dialogue, especially in the historical sections, is excellent. The conversations between Richard and his mother ring extremely true. The dialogue between Anise and her mother is very well done as well. I think this has the potential to be an excellent book!"

"I thought it was great and a very strong story."

"Fantastic historical details. You did an excellent job with that."

"Wow - I love your voice. This is a very, very complex story. There is good and bad in that, but you’re handling it very well. It really is an outstanding entry."
